The White Shark Interest Group on Facebook is the largest White Shark specific group on the platform. Since its inception by our founder, Dirk Schmidt, it has seen numbers grow month on month.
At the time of writing we have over 42,000 members, and growing daily. Membership consists of an amazing and passionate cross section of the shark advocacy community. This includes some rare access to scientists and marine biologist, conservationsists, photographers and filmmakers, and everyone with a passion to save these magnificent apex predators.
Some members like to come to see the images, and some for the lively and educational discussions. Moderated by a dedeicated team of admin staff (also from a very varied background in shark and diving advocacy), posts are kept to those which strive to educate, conserve and protect!
